After two of his films, Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007) exploded in the market, Farah Khan again had the opportunity to direct a latest Bollywood movie titled Happy New Year. Just like the two previous films, this film is also produced under the banner of the film company owned Shah Rukh Khan, who is also a producer and lead actor.

Happy New Year movie tells the story of six friends, Charlie (Shah Rukh Khan), Mohini (Deepika Padukone), Nandu (Abhishek Bachchan), Jag (Sonu Sood), Tammy (Boman Irani), and Rohan (Vivaan Shah). Unfortunately, they are only considered as a loser. Whereas, in fact they have the ability, although not in a positive way. Because, it turns out they are able to commit theft though guarded by a high level of security.

On one occasion, Charlie as this loser team leader decided to participate in an international dance competition. The funny thing is, they actually can not dance at all, but the only women in their team, Mohini who does have the ability as a dancer. They also tried hard to go through training. However, it turns out there is a mission behind their intention to follow the international dance competitions.

Charlie (Shah Rukh Khan) and his colleagues are planning a mission "Happy New Year", which is breaking into a secure vault very high and do a massive diamond robbery on New Year's Eve. In addition, Charlie also want to complete revenge on his old enemy, plans to take revenge on his old enemy, Charan (Jackie Shroff). Did this loser team perform its mission to rob a diamond?

Happy New Year movie at a cost of INR 1:50 billion (equivalent to US $ 24 million) for this production will be released on October 24, 2014 in India. Although the same as other Bollywood films which always contain the musical scene with colorfull concept, the film which also featured his wife and youngest son of Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan and Abram Khan's cameo certainly also be filled with scenes of action, comedy and romance.
